Liability Waiver

I, (hereinafter “volunteer”), for valuable consideration namely benefiting, fostering, handling, working with, transporting, and/or otherwise volunteering on behalf of dogs, cats, and/or other animals (hereinafter “animals”) from delta’s feral friends and sanctuary, do hereby release delta’s feral friends and sanctuary, its officers, directors, agents, volunteers, affiliates and all of its agents and/or persons acting on behalf as the context permits, from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, remedies and complaints of any kind which i may have had, now have or which might arise at any future time, whether known or unknown, arising out of or relating to the animals, or my foster or volunteer work for the delta’s feral friends and sanctuary, including but not limited to all claims for personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, all claims resulting from any injury inflicted by the animals, or any other injury/damage. I understand and acknowledge that the services i provide pursuant to this agreement to the delta’s feral friends and sanctuary may include activities that are hazardous to myself, my property, or persons coming into contact with the animals including, but not limited to activities involving inherently dangerous activities.

I recognize and accept all risks associated with unpredictable animal behavior.

I specifically assume all risks arising out of or relating to the care and handling of the animals.

I recognize that the delta’s feral friends and sanctuary makes no representations whatsoever as to the past history of the animals and whether or not they are safe animals.

I understand that the scope of my relationship with the delta’s feral friends and sanctuary is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided by volunteer.

Volunteer is responsible for his/her own insurance coverage in the event of personal injury or illness as a result of my services to the delta’s feral friends and sanctuary. As a volunteer, i hereby agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of north carolina and that this release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of north Carolina.

I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this release is deemed invalid, the enforceability of the remaining provisions of this release shall not be affected. I agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and assume all costs related to any claims i may file in the future against delta’s feral friends and sanctuary for defending the same. By signing below, i fully agree and acknowledge my assent to this release and waiver of liability willingly and voluntarily.
